DriftPulse is currently in active development and may contain bugs, incomplete features, or instability. By using DriftPulse, you acknowledge that this is a beta product and accept the associated risks. We may make breaking changes, reset user data, or discontinue features with notice.

Introduction & Acceptance
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and DriftPulse governing your use of the DriftPulse mobile application (iOS and Android) and related services at driftpulse.io.
By downloading, installing, or using DriftPulse, you accept all terms and conditions outlined here. If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use the application.
DriftPulse reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the application after changes indicates acceptance of the updated Terms. Please review these Terms regularly.
App Description & Purpose
What DriftPulse Does
DriftPulse is a mobile telemetry application designed to capture, analyze, and share drift driving data from your mobile device and connected RaceBox Mini GPS/IMU sensor. The app provides:
- Real-time telemetry recording (GPS, speed, acceleration, drift angle, G-forces)
- Session replay and analytics tools
- Live sharing of telemetry data with other users
- Trajectory visualization and performance metrics
Intended Use
DriftPulse is intended for:
- Recreational drift driving: Hobby drivers at closed tracks and authorized venues
- Track days: Organized events on private or race tracks
- Driver training: Professional coaching and skill development
- Performance analysis: Data collection and review of driving dynamics
DriftPulse is NOT intended for: Navigation, safety-critical applications, autonomous systems, or any use where telemetry data is relied upon for critical decisions.
User Responsibilities & Safety
Safe Driving Responsibility
You are solely responsible for your own safety and the safety of others. By using DriftPulse, you agree to:
- Never use the app while actively driving — Mount your device or set up recording before driving begins
- Only use DriftPulse on private property, closed tracks, or authorized racing venues
- Comply with all local traffic laws, venue regulations, and safety protocols
- Use appropriate safety equipment (helmet, protective gear) at all times
- Assume all risk of injury or property damage from drift driving activities
Warning: Drift driving is an inherently dangerous activity. You assume full responsibility for all risks associated with operating a vehicle. DriftPulse cannot be held liable for any injuries, deaths, or property damage resulting from your driving or use of the app.
Prohibited Activities
You agree not to:
- Use DriftPulse while operating a vehicle on public roads
- Share your location data in real-time with the general public (only use live sharing with trusted individuals)
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or hack the DriftPulse app or backend systems
- Use the app to harass, threaten, or harm other users
- Violate intellectual property rights or terms of any third-party services
- Use the app for any illegal purpose or in violation of applicable laws
Sensor & Device Responsibility
You are responsible for:
- Properly mounting and securing your mobile device and RaceBox Mini sensor
- Ensuring your device does not interfere with vehicle operation
- Maintaining your device and sensor in safe working condition
- Protecting your RaceBox Mini sensor from damage during use
Account Creation & Security
Registration Requirements
To use DriftPulse, you must create an account by providing:
- A valid email address
- A secure password
- Acceptance of these Terms and the Privacy Policy
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By registering, you confirm that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account. You agree to:
- Use a strong, unique password
- Never share your password with others
- Immediately notify DriftPulse if you suspect unauthorized account access
- Log out of your account after each session, especially on shared devices
DriftPulse is not responsible for unauthorized access resulting from your failure to protect your password.
Email Authentication
DriftPulse uses email-based authentication via AWS Cognito. You are responsible for ensuring your email address is current and that you have access to it. Account recovery relies on email verification.
Account Termination
Termination by User
You can delete your account at any time through the DriftPulse app settings. Upon deletion:
- Your account will be deactivated immediately
- All personal account data will be deleted within 30 days
- Session recordings will be deleted (unless you have requested backup or export)
- You will not be able to recover deleted data
Termination by DriftPulse
DriftPulse may terminate your account if you:
- Violate these Terms or the Privacy Policy
- Engage in harassment, threats, or harmful conduct toward other users
- Attempt to hack, exploit, or abuse the DriftPulse service
- Provide false or misleading information during registration
- Violate applicable laws or regulations
Termination may be immediate and without notice. Upon termination, your access to DriftPulse will be revoked.
Data Retention After Termination
DriftPulse may retain anonymized, aggregated data for analytics, product improvement, and legal compliance. Your personal identifiable information will be deleted as per our Privacy Policy.
Intellectual Property Rights
DriftPulse App & Content
All rights to DriftPulse, including:
- Application code and design
- User interface and visual elements
- Documentation and support materials
- Logo, name, and branding
...are the exclusive property of DriftPulse or its licensors. You are granted a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to use DriftPulse for your personal drift driving telemetry purposes.
License Restrictions
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the DriftPulse app without permission
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app or backend
- Remove copyright notices, trademarks, or proprietary notices
- Create derivative works based on DriftPulse
- Use DriftPulse in ways that compete with our service
Third-Party Components
DriftPulse uses third-party libraries and services governed by their own licenses (AWS, etc.). Respect applies to all such third-party intellectual property.
User-Generated Content
Session Data Ownership
You retain ownership of all telemetry data you record in DriftPulse. This includes:
- GPS location traces
- Performance metrics and analytics
- Video clips or recordings (if supported in future)
- Session comments or notes
DriftPulse License to Your Content
By uploading or storing session data in DriftPulse, you grant DriftPulse a non-exclusive, worldwide license to:
- Store and maintain your data on our servers
- Use your data for analytics, product improvement, and security (anonymized)
- Back up your data for disaster recovery
Your data is NOT shared publicly or with third parties unless you explicitly enable live sharing.
Shared Session Content
When you enable live sharing or publish a session, you grant viewers the right to view your telemetry data. You remain the owner and can revoke access at any time.
No Responsibility for User Content
DriftPulse is not responsible for:
- Accuracy or completeness of your telemetry data
- Loss or corruption of your session recordings
- Unauthorized access to your account (if due to your negligence)
Data Disclaimer & Accuracy
Critical: DriftPulse telemetry data is for informational and entertainment purposes only. It is NOT safety-critical data and should NEVER be relied upon for any decision that affects human safety, vehicle operation, or legal liability.
GPS & Sensor Limitations
Be aware of these limitations:
- GPS Accuracy: Typical error of 1-10 meters, may be worse near buildings or tunnels
- GPS Latency: 100-500ms delay between actual and recorded position
- IMU Drift: Gyroscope data drifts over time, especially during long sessions
- Magnetic Interference: Magnetometer may be affected by vehicle metal, tunnels, or power lines
- Sensor Fusion Errors: Calculated metrics (drift angle, G-forces) depend on accurate sensor alignment
Data Should Not Be Used For
Never use DriftPulse data for:
- Safety-critical decisions or vehicle control
- Insurance claims or legal proceedings
- Professional racing or competition scoring (without independent verification)
- Navigation or route planning
- Automated decision-making systems
- Medical or biometric analysis (G-force data)
Data Retention & Accuracy Over Time
Session telemetry may degrade or become corrupted over time. DriftPulse does not guarantee long-term data integrity. Export and back up important sessions regularly.
Limitations of Liability
Disclaimer of Consequential Damages
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DRIFTPULSE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Loss of data, revenue, or profits
- Loss of business opportunities
- Business interruption
- Personal injury, death, or property damage
- Any damages arising from your use of DriftPulse or inability to use it
Limitation of Total Liability
In no event shall DriftPulse's total liability exceed the amount you paid to DriftPulse in the 12 months preceding the claim (or €0 if you have not paid anything).
Driving Accidents & Safety
DriftPulse is NOT responsible for:
- Any accident, injury, or property damage resulting from your driving or use of DriftPulse
- Data loss or corruption of your session recordings
- Inaccuracies in telemetry data provided by the RaceBox Mini sensor
- Unauthorized access to your account due to your password being compromised
You assume all risk of drift driving activities. Drift driving is dangerous. By using DriftPulse, you accept full responsibility for all consequences.
Disclaimers & Warranties
As-Is Service
DriftPulse is provided "AS IS" without any warranties of any kind, express or implied. We specifically disclaim:
- Implied warranty of merchantability
- Implied warranty of fitness for a particular purpose
- Warranty of non-infringement
- Warranty of data accuracy or completeness
- Warranty of uninterrupted or error-free service
Beta / Early Access Status
DriftPulse is in active development. You acknowledge that:
- The app may contain bugs, incomplete features, or crash
- Features may change, be removed, or be disabled without notice
- User data may be reset or lost during development
- Backward compatibility is not guaranteed between versions
- Service availability is not guaranteed; we may go offline for updates
Third-Party Services
DriftPulse relies on third-party services (AWS, RaceBox). We do not warrant the performance or availability of these services. Any outages are outside our control.
No Technical Support Guarantee
While we strive to support DriftPulse users, we do not guarantee response times, resolution, or continued support. Support is provided on a best-effort basis.
Third-Party Services & External Links
AWS Services
DriftPulse uses Amazon Web Services for backend infrastructure. Your data is subject to AWS terms and AWS's privacy policy.
RaceBox Mini Sensor
The RaceBox Mini is a third-party device. DriftPulse does not manufacture or support the sensor directly. For sensor issues, contact RaceBox support. DriftPulse is not responsible for sensor malfunctions or data quality issues from the sensor.
External Links
DriftPulse may link to external websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of external sites. Use external services at your own risk.
No Endorsement
DriftPulse does not endorse external services, products, or websites mentioned in the app or documentation.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
Applicable Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union, specifically German law (Deutsches Recht), without regard to conflict of law principles.
Jurisdiction & Venue
You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Frankfurt am Main, Germany for any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of DriftPulse.
EU Regulations
If you are an EU resident, you are protected by EU consumer protection laws, GDPR, and other applicable EU regulations. Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights.
Dispute Resolution
Before pursuing legal action, we encourage you to contact us at support@driftpulse.io to attempt to resolve any dispute informally. If informal resolution fails, either party may pursue legal remedies through German courts or alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.
Changes to These Terms
Right to Modify
DriftPulse reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective when posted. Your continued use of DriftPulse after changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms.
Notification of Changes
For significant changes, we will notify you via:
- Email to your registered email address
- In-app notification
- Updated "Last Modified" date on this page
Your Right to Reject
If you do not accept updated Terms, you must stop using DriftPulse and delete your account. Continued use means acceptance.

Entire Agreement
These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and DriftPulse regarding the use of our service. All prior agreements, understandings, and negotiations are superseded by these Terms.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, or if not possible, severed. All other provisions remain in full effect.
